The Northern Radio Moto Club was formed in 2003 to provide facilities for the racing of 1/5 & 1/8 scale radio controlled motorcycles. We now race on a permant outdoor tarmac track with the latest BBK lap timing equipment. The track is situated in Skipton, North Yorkshire and club meetings are held here monthly during the Summer and fortnightly during the Winter. Electric powered (brushed and brushless) and nitro powered (both 2 & 4 stroke) bikes are raced here in 4 different classes to cater for all levels of skill and enjoyment. As well as 1/5 Superbike, Stock and nitro, we now also race the additional 2010 BRCA classes - 1/8 onroad, 1/5 Supermotard and 1/10 sidecars.
WHERE WE ARE
The track is situated just off Engine Shed Lane, next to the football pitch and Sports Centre.

Membership is obtainable direct from the BRCA or as an affiliated member through the club which earns a small discount:
Club Racing at Skipton
We run club days to help the transition of new pilots from car park basher to track racer. If you are new to bike racing, just bring along your bike, 1/5 or 1/8, electric or nitro, to a club day and we'll give you all the help and advice you'll ever need. Not got a bike yet? Check out the 'Which Bike' page from the menu. We normally run the format of 3x7minute qualifying rounds and a 2 leg final for all classes. Nitros will have a 2 minute warm up. No need to bring along a pit man. There will generally be enough time between rounds to practice on the track, even a bit of 1 to 1 tuition if you want it. The Winter Series will run alternate directions, clockwise one meeting then anti-clockwise the next. All National meetings run anti-clockwise.
